La Tavola — a restaurant website that fills tables
A sample build showing how atmosphere and reservations can live on one page without a clunky booking widget taking over.
The brief we set ourselves
A restaurant site has one job most fail at: make someone hungry, then let them reserve in two taps. La Tavola shows how mood and function share the same page.
What we built
An appetite-first site: a hero that sells the experience, a family-story section, a curated taste-of-the-menu, highlights (fresh pasta daily, curated wine list, seasonal produce, private events), and a clear “find us & reserve” block with hours and location.
Key decisions
- Photography and mood do the selling; text stays short
- Reservation and location are one scroll away, never hunted for
- Private events surfaced as a second revenue line
- Mobile-first — most restaurant searches happen on a phone
What this shows
For a restaurant, a site like this turns “let me check their Instagram” into a booked table.
